First time at Cook Out for me. I'm passing through the state, and I see billboards everywhere for the Cook Out franchise. -Chicken strips are ok. -Spicy chicken sandwich was good. -Chicken quesadilla is skippable. -Hushpuppies were pretty good. -Corndog fit the bill for a good corndog -Cheerwine, I find, just isn't my thing, but glad I tried it. I'd be willing to give the other items on the menu another try, although I don't understand why hush puppies take longer to be added to an order. At least the people here are friendly. It's a nice change from the average McD's and Burger King on the road.

When compared to McDonald's or Burger King or Wendy's, Cook Out rocks. Meanwhile, this is glorified fast food and while the service here out-paced other drive through type chains, the food isn't top-notch. However, how can anyone complain at these prices? If you're a high school or college kid with little dough to spend, this is your spot. Where else can you get a burger, two corndogs and large drink for a few bucks? When faced with the decision to go to Cook Out or the previously mentioned chains, there's no decision, Cook Out blows the rest away.

The food is freshly prepared. The milkshakes are good quality and large enough to share. The charbroiled taste of the burgers and chicken sandwich is right on. I enjoy the BLT sandwiches that they have. There is plenty of bacon on the sandwich and it has been priced at 99 cents. Two BLT's, small order of fries (cajun spice), and 1/2 cut tea. Great meal for around 5 bucks. The service is fast. The restrooms were clean. Why not more stars, the atmosphere was wide open and rather noisy. Overall, Good food, fast service, friendly staff, and great value for the money.

This is a really nice Cook Out. Granted the first one I went to was a drive through only shack, so anything would be nicer. This one has a decent amount of tables inside. We stopped here really just for me to have one more Cheerwine float but that turned into eating too as there are quesadillas here, which my friend wanted and previously mentioned shack did not offer. I decided to really break the bank and get the 99 cent BLT. Our food was ready quickly but it took awhile to get the float and two shakes. I have been told this isn't normal for Cook Out so hopefully that was just because of a backup overall, though it only became busier inside after we had ordered. So yeah, you get a lot of junk food for a little money. I'm so glad I don't live near one of these.

Food is good & cheap! My husband & I ate their tonight for $6.31. The burger deal comes with 2 sides so we also ordered a chicken quesadilla & fries as our sides & you have plenty of food for 2 people! The food was very good tonight. We have ate there before & felt like the burgers had been laying under a heat lamp most of the day. Sadly, we passed on their great milkshakes tonight!

Well the location is very nice. Sadly the food is okay. It's not as good as I thought it would have been. Although the price is really good. So the compromise is there. I ordered a A1 steak style burger. It was ehhhh. Nothing compared to a Whataburger A1 burger. My g/f had chicken fingers and fries. Everything was overdone and hard as rock. Overall the star rating could have been half a star better if all my food came out with my order. When I opened my order of food the burger wasn't there so I had to go back in and get it. Next time I'll have to try the milkshakes. Apparently they have 40 flavors and it's "fresh". Whatever that means.

Perfect place to go if you want horrible food. I love cookout, but this location is beyond horrible! I've been here several times and 9/10 my order is wrong. Service isn't much better. I suggest you save your time and go to the one on East main in Spartanburg.

Cook Out is definitively the best thing that has happened to America in this century. So what, I love corn dogs and for $.99 who can say no to a hot dog on a stick coated in batter? The sides of mustard that are essential for corn dog consumption come in round serving dishes perfect for dipping. Looks like I don't have to wait for the fair to come to town to get my annual corn dog fix anymore. The trays at Cook Out are just ridiculous (and they only cost $4.25). On special occasions they offer trays for $.99. You can get a cheese burger with a side of chicken nuggets and onion rings or a Cajun chicken sandwich with a side of two corn dogs or a BBQ sandwich with a side of chili and a BLT wrap. Cook Out has a pretty non-traditional definition of the term "side dish". In terms of traditional sides, I think the hush puppies and onion rings are better than the slightly mediocre fries. The possibilities are basically endless with Cook Out trays. All the trays also come with a large drink or "huge" sized sweet tea. For $1 more, you can add a fancy milkshake. They have 40 different milkshake flavors to choose from. I mean WOW. This location was rather crowded when I last stopped in, but the service was fast and the restaurant was pretty clean. Other locations can be found throughout Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. Along I-85 you will see many a billboard advertising these Meccas. The Boiling Springs location is directly off I-85 as opposed to the Greenville and Spartanburg locations. There is basically no excuse to not stop at Cook Out.

Stopped here at 10:00pm on Sunday 5/18/14 ordered a spicy chicken tray with corn dog and the three chicken nugget side. I got one nugget and a large chunk of chicken shaped kind of like a nugget. I think they gave me a tender instead but a curtesy apology or something would have been appreciated. Our other order of a double cheeseburger with double nugget side was WAY over cooked. Burger was burnt and nuggets were old. Now our two milkshakes weren't ready until AFTER we were done eating. The peanut butter fudge shake barely has a chocolate flavor. If not for the spilled chocolate on the side of the cup, I'd think they forgot the fudge. The guy behind us ordered a milkshake only and he had to wait just as long as us. The trash bins were all overflowing and the dinning room was in need of a serious cleaning. The employees seemed to be having a good time tho. Not the quality expected from CookOut.

Very disappointed in this place. I got a burger with Cajun seasoning tray- side Cajun chicken wrap and hush puppies. CONS- I expected a grill burger (peep the name of location) instead I got a burger that wasn't Cajun flavor and tasted like a bubba burger from the supermarket. They also charge for the basic items such as tomatoes. Pros- Don't know too many places that offer a Cajun wrap for a side item. The hush puppies were too damn good.

They just built a Cook Out in Norfolk, VA . There were cars backed up onto Military Highway, so I decided to wait until it calmed down before I tried it. Heading down 85 on the way to Georgia, I saw signs for the Cook Out and decided to stop. No one in line...made me wonder. I ordered the double w/ cheese, "cajon" fries, hush puppies and a Cheerwine float. The burger was better than McDonalds, but that's about it. And they put so much Old Bay on the fries that I didn't taste the potato! The hush puppies were good, but the float was on point! It was so good I decided to hit the same restaurant again in NC (not the same...that's for another review. The review is more like a 3-1/2, but I bumped it up because the price was decent, the float was awesome, and the staff was informative. I'm going to try this place again in Norfolk. Review to come.

Should never for any reason have to sit in the drive thru line for 20+ minutes, and still leave the line without your food. Service sucks.

The food and service was good- hot, fast food with great/smiling service. My only complaint was that the bathroom didn't have anywhere to change a baby's diaper, so I had to change our baby outside on our car seat. Not great for a road trip when it's hard to find car-space. Just make sure you change your child before eating here and enjoy.

They need to fix speaker in drive-thru. It is unbearable to try and order. 11/10/13. Still garbled as ever. I tried.

Service was great along with food. Heard that the crowd was massive but it just has recently opened. Seating capacity could be better!
